Dear Slushe people,

I have been wondering for a long time what sense it makes to follow someone except to have a counter raised. For my understanding it should make sense to be informed about new contributions by the people I follow or to be able to filter their contributions. Is something like that in mind?

Thank you

Yours
Tawny

In your profile settings click the Tab titles notifications.  In here you can set the notifications you want.

In the category Tab you can set the categories you want to see.
Is this what you are looking for?

I believe the point is that you cannot choose to see just the creators you are following. In the notifications settings you only choose what notifications you want to see regarding your own profile and the category settings I believe is basically just to filter out stuff you don't want to see.

There is no option to just see posts by the creators you are following, basically the same way you can choose to see just the posts you have favourited.

Best regards

Datoka

I'll check to see is this has been put into the mix yet, if not I will put it forward
The search engine is not very effective imo, specially for users who don't post and only come to the site to consume our porn is kinda hard to look for a specific topic specially when for example someone looks for ''demon girl'' and the results will show any post that has the tag ''demon'' even though the post and pictures have no demon girl or anything to do with it. But most importantly than that is how the results are shown in a long list that they have to scroll down to while looking for their desired subject. I think a smaller thumbnail grid showing many more results on screen at once would be much more effective, pleasant and faster for consumers to look for pictures to like, favorite, and list while searching (and makes posts with the tag that are not actually about the subject easier to ignore) plus making it easier for older posts to be found again when someone is looking for a specific thing like ''elf girl'' ''futa demon'' and such.

The search engine is being revisited at this moment, and a new version of it will be made live soon.

Something to note is that there are techniques to using search engines.  All search engines will show you results for demons

and for girls as well as for demon  girls, if your search term is Demon Girl

Sadly the programming for a search engine isn't as good as the human mind, and it can be completely literal in providing results.
Results are also dependent on the artist tagging their work correctly.

Personally I would search demongirl instead of demon girl as search tags do not usually have a space between the words in a tag.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Yes it is, thank you. I'm happy to hear it is being worked on, I just insist the biggest issue with it is the way it displays the results, and that a smaller thumbnails way would be more effective for consumers to find what they are looking for and explore more content in less time. You guys are doing a great job! Thanks for making this site work, is my favorite to share my work.

We are pleased you enjoy the site :)

For some reason, the site is convinced I'm on mobile, when I'm on desktop Safari (Version 13.1 (15609.1.20.111.8)). Seems to be fine on Chrome.

What OS are you using?
As a viewer, is it anyhow possible to see a history of images/posts you liked?
Please remove the featured option. Just read that lewdfutasy decided to stop posting (and start doubting) their works here because they never got featured. After all, what gets featured and what doesn't is just the personal taste of some mod or admin, so it's basically meaningless anyway.

Nah, only your favourites show up in your profile, the likes don't

At this point in time there isn't.

I believe we are looking at a more comprehensive stats feature.

Featured images is something that will remain.

It is maintained by staff members at this time while an algorithm is put together to handle.

We can however assure you that personal taste is not a factor.

It's pretty obvious that the algorithm favours popular artists though. You can't blame the algorithm for choosing what it chooses (although that seems to become a sort of go-to), someone has written it at some point

I can also confirm that personal taste isn't involved in Features selection. The protocol doesn't even favor popular artists currently; it's really more that the popular artists tend to create works that fall into the general guidelines of the selection protocol.

If you'd like some kind of practice or feature that highlighted artists who don't show up as often on the front page, please suggest it! :)

@steves3d, I tried that to no avail -- but I'm running Safari, not Firefox. The browser test linked from that site returns:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_4) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/13.1 Safari/605.1.15

I have cleared cache and cookies.

If you guys can't reproduce it, I'll assume it's just me and go on about my life.

Also, "reply with quote" is not including a quote.

Try this one them perhaps.

The quote doesn't show until you save post,  then the quote pops up.

This tip is not applicable to macOS, only iOS.

EDIT: I found the problem. Somehow I had managed to zoom the Slushe page in, which caused your responsive design to read my window as too small for the desktop version and switch to mobile-friendly design. I must've fat-fingered that at some point. Or I was trying to get a really good look at a piece of artwork. : )
