Post about your user experience and suggestions for site improvements here

It really bothers me that this thread with a person posting "where do I pirate X stuff" is just left alone, people endorsing or talking about pirating other people's assets should be sharply discouraged.  I don't sell anything any more* but a lot of the really good artists that post here do, many of them are trying to make a living off it and it isn't right that talking openly about stealing others' commercial work is tolerated.

* but when I did, it actually was pirated from the particular site this guy mentions :/

It appears one of our staff has jumped up and down on that one and deleted it now.

Thanks for the heads up though :)

Thank you

e: well no it's just closed, imo it should be deleted or at least marked with some kind of comment "don't post shit like this here"

Hello. This concerns me a lot, reading text in Slushe hurts my eyes, because the contrast is way too big. Currently background color is totally black and text color is white. This is especially an issue on pages where is a lot of text, like here in the forum. The fix is easy, just change text color from #fff to #ccc, for example. You can also change background color to dark gray, but this might change layout more and is not so easy.

this won't help me filter out the rash of low-quality galleries that have been stinking up the site as of late; for example galleries of other people's works already on the site being the worst offenders, and to a much lesser extent artists who i just plain don't like the work of, regardless of content type

i want to be able to just completely vanish some accounts from my experience here

I wouldn't use quite those words but yeah I'd really like filters to work too.
Yeah right

A lot of the art that others seem to be posts are in fact not re-posts but are Slushe/com's excellent feature called 'Lists'.

You can use the blocking feature, which is being tweaked to hide all posts etc from view once blocked.

Hey. I'm having issues with the "like" button. It doesn't register a like, it just sends me to the top of the page. It has happened on several different artist postings lately.

Give the page a refresh and try again.  I've found sometimes it will happen to me, but after a refresh it sorts itself out again.

It that fails, let us know what browser, operating system etc you are using and I will talk to the dev team

I have noticed a sharp increase in reposted art recently, and even though there is a "Block User" function on the re-poster's page, it does not do anything to remove their image files from the site feed.

Anyone else feel the need for a true "Mute User" function, or at least an improved "Block User" function to remove all their images from the site feed?

The block feature is being worked on so that all posts by that artist will be hidden.

You will probably find that a lot of the 'Re-posts' are our members using the excellent 'Lists' Feature.

This allows members to add an image to a 'List'.

'Lists' lets you add a title to the list which can act like your very own personal category system.

You can also make the 'List" private or public.

Steve, do you think you can ask the dev team for possible "upload drafts" option? As currently Postybirb doesn't have a option for you guys so I have to manually upload here first.
+1 for filters.  You'd save a ton of bandwidth and processing power if you'd get content filters working.  For example, there are tons of futa images added daily, but I personally have zero interest in those.  If I had the ability to filter out any content tagged with futa, my consumption of your resources would be significantly less.  This would be likewise for anyone else who used filters to exclude tagged content from the different feed options.

This is certainly something I can put to the team :)

In the ideal world this would be perfect, but it is really reliant on all members using correct categories and tags when they post their work.

Browsing lists via the front page has become nearly impossible due to some users apparently using single image lists instead of favorites. Its a chore to look through and muting the people doesnt stop their stuff from showing up.

Related, there's some users that are posting images anf just tagging them with every common search term to game the system, so even searching has become difficult.  Is there a way to moderate those users, or let us not see muted users?

I like seeing new work but right now I feel like I'm being spammed with work I have no interest in and can't do anything to filter it tf out.

Our Dev Team are working on blocking the work of blocked members from being seen by those who have blocked them.

Sadly, unless posts with wrong categories/tags are flagged to staff we can't intervene.

There are ways to increase the use of proper tagging and categorizing.  Making it required to use at least one category and/or tag to post.  Pointing out that tagging and categorizing gets artists' works seen more often and by those who are more likely to appreciate it.  Possibly allowing viewers to suggest tags for posted works.  Saving even a third of the wasted resources is far better than saving none.

Hi Slushe team,
first of all, thank you for all the hard work you put in, I am rather happy with my experience here on Slushe as a content creator and the transparency in regards to the ongoing development, as well as the speed of improvements (especially given the relatively early state of the site's lifecycle).
One question though, do you plan on adding a scheduling function for posts going forward (similar to e.g. twitter)? Given that creators are spread all over the globe people might want to optimize their posing schedules and 3dx artists have bad enough sleep cycles as is ^^.

Cheers
