1012 Naked Adventure

Midnight Angel knew how to track a vampire through the city, for she hunted them every night.

A hot, sweaty jungle during the day felt a little different, but the same concepts applied.

She waited for the ambush, watched Sarah and the others get played with, and knew they had to have a close spotter. Sure enough, one of the girls was doing the dirty work up close, and she was right.

She watches the girl run through the jungle, she guessed it was either Lexi or Lana and she could not tell by the amount of mud smeared on her body. Whoever it was looked good and if they were not fighting, she would love to have an opportunity to wash it off her body, up close and personal.

Mind on the mission.

The mercs kept firing and the echo of gunfire rattles through the valley around her.

If it was Lexi, they were all in a world of hurt because that meant Luna was in the neighborhood. Luna going 80’s action movie on a regiment of Shangchi reeducation guards, basically a military unit with light tanks and helicopters and over a thousand men, was the tales of legends. This was all covered up in the press since one woman going on a killing spree was a huge national embarrassment, so nothing much was said and even the deaths were swept under the carpet.

But Lexi was there with her providing backup and fire support, and was every bit the killer her stepmother was. And the two never traveled apart due to the intensity of the hunt against them by the Foreign Ministry of that country and international mercenary contracts.

And even the professional mercs and assassins were hesitant to take the deal, since everyone in the business knew Luna’s wraith was something not of this world. Four members of the Assassin’s League died by their hands, and the League refused to take any more contracts on Luna or Lexi.

In fact, they extended as secret invitation to the pair to join their Death Panel.

It had to be Lexi, Lana was still too girlish to get that dirty and to go to that length to get close.

Lexi darts through the undergrowth, and Midnight wonders if the slight mistakes the girl is making every three of four steps are not somehow being done on purpose. She watched the two move once, very silent and very quiet, like herself. Yet there again, a twig stepped on and a fern shoved out of the way with a rustle. Either she was moving fast and thought the sound of the mercs firing would cover her, or Lexi wanted to be followed.

She could stay here and be a pincushion for Luna’s arrows, or be fired upon by the mercs, or she could take the bait from the sweet young mud-covered warrior.

This better be some really good bait.
