“I am not as beautiful as you,” Midnight says. “Your breasts are so much bigger than mine.”

“Yours are pretty too,” Lilith smiles, “small and tight is just as pretty as big and bouncy. Though if you want my rich stepsister Lorna knows a good surgeon and we could get those filled out nicely. But I love you as you are.”

Midnight smiles. “You don’t love me, Lilith, we barely even cross paths in the Society. I hunt vampires and you hunt treasures and get into all sorts of intelligence operations.”

“Oh,” Lilith says, “I could come to love you, one never knows. Look at you, all goth, athletic, good at hand-to-hand when you are not wearing those blasted heels, probably good at urban sorts of things I am into, and you know, if I had an urban ops team you would be high on my list.”

Midnight smirks. “Should I be impressed?”

Lilith shrugs, “Given how things are going in the world, love, one needs to jeep their options open. I could see if we could do a spin-off magazine, the Naked Hunters or something like that. You know, get your own revenue stream started outside of the Society and get you independent for one in your life. No more looking for contracts to kill fangs and feeling like a serial killer of the dead.”

Midnight smiles. “Nice try, but one problem is that is no costars. No hunt if no prey.”

“Laura knows a Vampyr,” Lilith says.

“Those are technically living,” Midnight says, “and off the kill list since it would be murder.”

Lilith smiles. “Not for killing but for co-stars? Her Vampyr friend is a pretty horny one and would love to do a little series with you where you and your protégé get all tied up and bitten in interesting places. Vampyrs can’t turn with a bite, but you know, just for fun. I am sure she has friends too if this gets successful.”

Midnight sighs. “You can’t do that. No one would ever print a series run of kinky vampires and vampire hunters doing sex and bondage and stuff like that.”

“Love,” Lilith smiles, “you just have to know the right people. I know two who just might take you up on that offer, and one is a horny little devil himself.”
