Eliza's face burned with rage as he approached...  Her old comrade.  The previous night she had stolen all of his coin and left him without the map.  She knew she was being greedy and selfish, but she didn't care for a "partner", especially one would claim half the loot!

She felt embarrassed, humiliated, and completely exposed. He didn't mention anything about the magical booby traps surrounding the doors that would strip and shackle her like this.  He might have known, but he certainly didn't mention it.

"Well Eliza, I suppose now that you've sprung the first traps, the seal is mine for the taking!"

"I'll leave you here to stew for a day or two, but don't worry, those binds should eventually wear off..."
