Built (Simon)

Another with the guys. Simon and Kevin were figures I had way back in Poser 7 and cast the as World Agents. I liked them so much because of their really expressive faces, something that M4 and V4 sort of lacked (in my feeling). The face controls were just so much easier to use and even James shared that model and rigging (hence James and his infamous derp looks). Simon, Kevin, and James were all the same figure base back in Poser, and they still are - though they have all been recreated.

I ended up recreating them all with a more modern figure, and to simulate a likeness takes me a good couple hours of work for each. I know, why not just use new figures? Well, all of my cast is like that, from Hunter on down, all the skins faithfully rebuilt, all the morphs recreated, and those signature looks preserved. Even figures like Galaxie and Derica kept their looks. As a result, you can't buy these characters out of the box, and yes while they are recreations, they are unique.

Plus another thing working with a smaller cast is that you get better faster. If you are switching figures constantly, you never learn what it takes to make the one you have and are rendering all the time look good. I am very particular when it comes to even tiny details like the shine on eyes, and like to tweak those myself instead of relying on artist settings all the time. Taking one figure, like Hunter, all the way from V4 to the latest generation teaches you so much than if you put the original look aside and used another character for her.

Another benefit is that cast gets really great personalities and fans, and people come back for more.
