Cyberpunk
Happy to say that I took delivery of a new render machine today, and I couldn't be happier with the performance improvement. I set this scene up a few months ago on my previous machine. I let it render over night, and it only got to about 50%. The new machine (which has an RTX 2080 GPU, for those of you who know what that means) crushed it in less than an hour!
Also, the power power unit on my old machine crapped out last night JUST after I finished backing up about 200 GB worth of asset files to transfer to the new machine. Wish I could say I planned it that way, but sometimes life works out.
What does this mean for the future? I'm not quite sure yet, but it should translate to increased productivity and generally more complex environments and lighting like you see above.
We'll also have an announcement soon regarding a firm release for The Stripper Experience, so look for that soon. Incidentally, the very last image in that set was the only one posed and rendered on the new machine.
