Development Update #2

Dec 29, 2018

Happy New Year

This is the 2nd edition of the Slushe blog Development Update and the final one for 2018. We’ve been working around the clock, so we’re keen to give you the list of recent updates and bug fixes:

SITE IMAGE UPLOAD IMPROVEMENTS

All images that were not reuploaded have been removed, but the good news is, image uploading is back to normal with the same enhancements we've previously made to media post editing.

You can view thumbnails of the images you're uploading and you're able to select your main image when uploading multiple images.

MULTI IMAGE DISPLAY MEDIA PAGE

We’ve updated the layout for posts with multiple images. Up to 5 images are now displayed in full size sequentially. Anything above 5 images is still displayed in gallery view, which does not yet support vertical images properly. However we're working to address this in the near future.

TEXT FORMATTING ISSUE

Issue where the text wouldn’t format correctly (or at all) is now fixed. All text can now be edited and formatted in both forum and blog posts. Special characters should also be saved correctly.

SECURITY UPDATES

We implemented a couple of security updates thanks to the help of Clare3DX.

A Content Security Policy has been implemented to block any unaccepted sources and various fixes to handling user input have been implemented.

We've also enhanced our backup and content delivery systems.

FOLLOWING AND MESSAGING

Fixed a bug where you were unable to Follow or Message an artist if you have your browser on full screen for resolutions larger than 1920x1080.

OVERALL USABILITY

There were a couple of redundant options in the search and blog pages which have been disabled.
