Dovakini's Bargain

Silgret was used to the isolation at this point...she had even grown fond of it. With her small homestead nestled in the foothills north of Windhelm, she rarely knew the comings and goings of the commonfolk and their petty squabbles. Unlike so many in the realm who greeted each morning to the sounds of swords and screams vying for "justice" or "freedom," the sharp howling of the mountain winds and choirs of songbirds filled Silgret's ears.

Such isolation was not without its disadvantages however, and oftentimes Silgret found herself polishing her "sword" in the lonely hours between hunting or repairing her humble abode. She would get the occasional wayward bandit's harassment from time to time, but typically one look at the massive woman made the fire in their eyes die before her axe did.

The day started like any other. Last night's raging blizzard petered down into a gentle snowfall, blanketing the forest in powdery snow and silencing the native fauna while they huddled in their secret places to preserve their warmth. Silgret readied her swinging arm when the telltale 'crunch' of feet in snow began approaching her house, but nothing could have prepared her for the peculiarly-dressed visitor that asked to borrow her forge.

Years of isolation in this frozen world made the ripe fruit before her all the sweeter to gaze upon, and it didn't take long for a scheme to hatch in the Nord's lusty mind.

Silgret's breeches tightened with anticipation, and she prayed to the Divines and Daedra alike that this adventurer didn't have any septims...
