Easter Bimbo-Bunny

Apr 17, 2022
Easter Bunnies are believed to have originally been heralds or messengers of Ôstara, the ancient Germanic goddess of the dawn, springtime, and fertility. Their arrival would herald the onset of the spring season, symbolized by hiding delicious fresh eggs for locals to discover, which were seen as a pleasant and welcome surprise to end the coldness of winter and usher in a new year.
While Ôstara and her worship has largely declined into obscurity in modern times, Easter Bunnies have managed to adapt remarkably well. Nowadays they hide chocolate eggs instead of regular eggs, and their traditional robes have been replaced with more contemporary outfits and playful costumes.
Easter Bunnies have a peculiar maturity process which is believed to be tied the season itself, quickly maturing from shy and bashful maidens into amorous and coquettish women at the height of spring (coincidentally also the height of mating season). One tradition that has survived into contemporary times says that any man – or woman – quick enough to catch and copulate with a fully matured Easter Bunny would receive a blessing of fertility; they would go on to have strong, healthy children, and be graced with a large and loving family.
Strangely, no written accounts on the origin of this tradition have ever actually been found, leading some historians to postulate that this “tradition” was started by the Bunnies themselves. Such a theory does go some way to explaining how they have survived this long.

By request from Showdownducks over on DeviantArt! I actually finished this like a week ago, which was quite surprising given how slow I tend to work. Part of that might be because I ended up finding a good lighting set-up in like 5 minutes, rather than 5 hours... speaking of lighting, outdoor daytime lighting is way easier than indoor or night time lighting. Like, one-click and done sort of thing. Did play around with adding in a few point lights around her face to remove the harsher shadows though, but overall, very pleased with it!

As always, I hope you enjoy this set, please let me know what you think, and happy Easter!
