Eye of the Beholder - Planar Refugees

Planar Refugees

Arrallon serves as a planar nexus.  It has been that way since the beginning almost, though the fact wasn't revealed until the War of Tryskellias nearly 500 years ago.  It was then that a wide assortment of planar creatures became aware of Arrallon and its power, the power of the living flux crystal core of the planet.  Githyanki and Illithid , Demons, Devils and Angels, Shadow creatures and beings of pure light,… all came to challenge the locals for mastery of this nearly unlimited power source.  In the end, they all lost.  Each invasion, whether planar of off world, ended in catastrophe for those bold and stupid enough to try to take control of Arrallon.  Only the Antarian Republic managed to take control for a time, for it was they who orchestrated the War of Tryskellias in the first place.  Even their rule only last a few centuries, a mere wink of a Delsian's eye.

Once the flood gates were opened however, there was no ending the flow of alternate worlds and their influences on the peoples and cultures of Arrallon.  Just as Doctor Gailen Anders McGillivrey, Time Lord of the Sapphire, brought technology to the world to help the Arrallonians defeat the Republic and regain control of their own fates, others brought things to the world, some had been there all along.  A lone, plane travelling Krell, known to Arrallon as Soth el'Mar (but known in Victorian England as Lord Marsden Southersby, aka the individual on whom the character of George Edward Challenger was based), had brought ancient texts and myths from Earth long before the first sentient races emerged from the Planet Shift.  Those ideas, leached into the living core of the planet, served to influence the developing species, creating cultures that worshipped the Asgardians, the Olympians, the Iniad, and the Celtic deities.  To make their mortal allies the most powerful, The Shadows brought the most advanced technology known to the universe; and so neutronium bombs and starships became part of the Arrallonian fabric.

But others had less dramatic influence on the world.  Those planar rifts allowed passage to several different worlds, realities that lay beyond the Arrallonian multiverse.  Those planes, some very hard to reach, housed entirely different realities, places where magic also existed, but where it was weak and rare.  In all those places, Arrallon's magic was superior.  And like a willful God experimenting, assorted adventurers would find themselves kidnapped by the will of the planet itself and sent hurtling into alternate dimensions.  Some of the neighboring realities that had seen a bit more cross pollination than others were the realities of Faerun and Torril.  And like a bad, recurring nightmare, several adventurers were sent to the exact same place and time, separated by the quantum veil, to deal with the same problem, as though it were some kind of test.

That place and time was in the Faerun city called Waterdeep.  The event the adventurer was sent to deal with was a series of kidnappings and murders revolving around a powerful crime boss called Xanathar.  Trapped deep underground for days, the adventurer would find allies and safe havens in a vast dungeon filled with horrors too many and too horrid to speak.  But only once in a great rarity did the adventurer ever find his or her way back to Arrallon.  Even rarer were the cases where that adventurer managed to bring all their compatriots back with them.  This is one of those cases.

That adventurer was a new addition to the vaunted Night Raptors.  As a member of the Gold Team, she spent her days in Carellon, dealing with an ever dwindling collection of kidnappings, murders and thefts of priceless artifacts.  There were few real adventures any more.  As the syndicate princess of one of the powerful criminal families in Carellon, Patricia Yvonne Larson's real identity was a closely guarded secret.  Even when she managed to engage in a little burglary, she did so cloaked and disguised, known only to her fellow Wyreport thieves as Patty Larceny.  Now, working with the Night Raptors in the capitol, she was more of an investigator and go-to lock picker.  She longed to go some place where she could just be herself and cut lose.  But those days of high adventure seemed to be relegated to the long past.

As they often say,… be careful what you wish for.

*****

Awaking as if her own life had been no more than a dream, she was aroused to the sound of men banging on her inn door.  She was summoned to the presence of the Lord of Waterdeep.  Somehow she half remembered this place, as though all the knowledge that she would need to fit in here had been downloaded into the mind in the night.  She knew of magics that could copy all the knowledge of one person into another, if for but a time, but such advanced spells and potions would not be found on this backward rock,… this world she somehow knew was called Faerun.

The adventure went much as it had for others who had been summoned to go through this gauntlet.  She met another who had whisked away form her home on Arrallon, a buxom and overly horny Guardian of the Sisters of the Pearl.  Lydia was herm name and s/he gladly volunteered to aid Patty in her quest to stop this crime boss called Xanathar.  Trapped underground in the city sewers, the only way out was to keep going deeper and deeper.  They found the bodies of others who had come before and failed, resurrecting them with apparent ease compared to the dangers of raising the dead back on Arrallon.  In exchange for their lives, most gladly joined Patty's cause

After many days of battle and blood, they finally reached the lowest sanctums of the vile Beholder and quickly ending its hideous life.  It was only then that they found the exit portal which took them to a spot outside of the city.  Return to the Lord, a Faerun Mage named Blackstaff offered to send Patty back home.  Having cum quite close with her new friends, she insisted they be given the choice of coming with her.  All but the Halfling thief agreed.  And so, Patty returned to Carellon, deciding to start her own venture company and move to where the action was, the untamed wilds of Equideyea and the northlands.  Of course, living in a secret underground lair beneath the syndicate ruled city of Mauritius was the only logical place to be.

Left to right,…

Phaedriel Lyrrelbaen, Drow (Faerun) Lvl 10 Thief-Assassin.

A member of the Red Sisterhood back on Faerun, she was glad to hear that Lolth had been destroyed in Patty's reality.  She was also very interested in this new Drow Goddess, Tadilva,… kinky sex with tentacles sounded right up her ally.

Kiratha the Mouthy, Half-Elf (Faerun) Lvl 11 Mage.

She had another name, but nobody ever called her that given her tendency to make snide comments about everything and constantly insult her own team members.  However, her magics were somehow cast with a Ally Immunity effect, allowing her to drop fireballs and even worse spells right in the middle of a melee without killing everyone.  She was, however, typically bitchy about the fact that the planar transition had stripped her of a lot of her power (game terms, she dropped from Lvl 21 to Lvl 11).

Lydia Lustvargen, Human (Atheaen)/Hermaphrodite Lvl 1/1/10 Paladin (Defiant Champion)/Erotic/WarMage.

Happy to be back home where the heart is,… and the really gorgeous fellow herms with huge cocks,… Lydia threw a huge orgy at the Temple of Aphrodite in Somana for all her new gal pals.  She also made sure they were all outfitted with the latest Nipple Rings of Stability and enhanced with erotic magic (now that it was working again back on Arrallon).

Ileria Mannitok, Half-Elf (Faerun) Cleric of Correlon.

Ileria was thrilled to see both that the Gods of the Seldarine were present on Arrallon and that the Dark Seldarine had adopted a less hateful and menacing nature with Lolth's final defeat.  However, she had to learn a whole new tableau of Gods and powers that had never existed on Faerun.

In front, the leader:  Patricia Yvonne Larson, aka Patty Larseny, Human (Carellonian) Thief-Acrobat (Burglar).

Patty had said goodbye to her life in Wyreport, and now she was saying goodbye to Carellon and the Night Raptors.  Knowing so many things that the natives of Faerun didn't she was an obvious leader for their new Venture Company.  That would never be the case back with the Night Raptors.  Now, to see what kind of trouble she can get into in Mauritius,…

Anya Onynia, Human (Faerun) Lvl 10 Ranger.

Taking to Arrallonian acceptance of public nudity as quickly as she adopted to her new set of tits, Anya was aptly named for her new life, for she spent more time in brothels run by herms than anybody else in the crew.

Beohrama the Brash, Human (Faerun) Fighter-Sentinel.

Still an arrogant asshole, Patty finally managed to temper her less acceptable traits by gifting her a cursed Sword of the Erotics.  After getting gang banged by the rest of the girls using Lydia's Conjure Phallus spells (amongst other things), the former Waterdeep town guard finally pulled the stick out her ass,… and shoved something else in there instead.

Doffa the Often Naked, Human (Faerun) Barbarian

Doffa used to be a real bitch,… quite literally,… she had been an actual dog before being transformed into a human.  Unfortunately, her intellect hadn't increased much.  As a trained attack dog, she really didn't change much.  Now, as a human barbarian, she was one of the more vicious killers on the battlefield.  Never could get the hang of that "life has value" bullshit.  "You attack me or my pack, I fuckin' kill you.  Simple."

Dorha Kahkenbahls, Dwarf (Faerun) Fighter

Not that sad to say goodbye to her family and friends in the deep halls and mines beneath Waterdeep, Dorha quickly adapted to the public nudity and the interracial sex so common on Arrallon.  Back home,… well father would never approve or understand,…
