Gimbo
/gɪmbəʊ/

Noun   INFORMAL

noun: gimbo; plural noun: gimbos

  1. an attractive, curvaceous, and promiscuous young woman belonging to emo, punk, rock, or (most commonly) goth subculture. Favors revealing black or leather clothing and heavy, dark makeup. Typically adorned with an assortment of tattoos and piercings in various areas on her body.
“Hey big boys, any of you wanna’ spitroast me while listening to “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails? I'll let you pull my collar?”

Origin
goth + bimbo

Trying out some simpler stuff while I essentially go right back to square one and learn how lighting works in Daz Studio.

With this one I used an HDRI, a colored backdrop, and a plane/floor with a ceramic shader. I wanted some darkish lighting that would fit all of her emo/punk/rocker/goth stages, and found a very nifty cyberpunk-themed HDRI I'd picked up a while ago that had some green and purple-ish tones. I turned off the environment to hide the HDRI itself, and dropped down a simple backdrop in it's place. Then I applied a ceramic shader with a sprinkling of metallic flakes to the flooring for something similar to a nightclub floor. Place in the oven and bake at a high setting for roughly 4 hours, and you get something that's meant to give the impression of an indoor rock concert, as befits our girl.

Anyways, enjoy! And if you're an artist, please let me know what you think, or feel free to drop a nugget of wisdom on me! Cheers, guys!
