Hell's Heroes

Jul 03, 2019

They said Jehovah pretty much lost it.  His reaction to the overthrow of Hell’s rulers (whom He had clearly had on His payroll the whole time) was a bit extreme.  In His growing paranoia, He decided it was time to pull the plug.  Like a vengeful Jovos, He would send down death and destruction on mankind.  Problem was He wasn’t the only Greater God around.  Heliopolis and Olympus had finally managed to put their ages old hatred away not twenty years prior.  Neither was about to let some moldy Avandorian monotheistic asshole destroy their people.  Naturally, the war was on.

Strange at it seemed to the mortals caught in the crossfire, there were new heroes that would come to their rescue.  As Jehovah sent the Angels and the hosts of Heaven to lay waste to mortals, it wasn’t just the Olympians and the divine minions of Heliopolis that would fly to their defense.  Hell sent its own minions to battle Jehovah and His mad attempt to bring about the end of the world.

These new diabolic minions, created out of the new esthetic of the New Hell, tended to be curvaceous, horny, and more than willing to give mortals a second chance (and a third, fourth, fifth,… so long as sex was involved, no limits).  Their natural tendency towards violence and bloodshed would serve them perfectly in a war against Heaven’s angels.  Their absolute dedication to chain of command and regulation kept them from straying too far from their orders.  And the new rulers of Hell wanted mortals to see them in a completely different light from the millennia that had come before,… they wanted willing converts, glad to spend an eternity in a wild party in Hell, with no real threat of unending torment.

That was the real trap, an honest change to the way souls were treated in Hell.  For Queen Aura had other ways of gaining power from the souls of the “damned” other than torture and pain.  And if all it took was for Jehovah to reject them from entrance into Heaven, all those souls would be flooding the Gates of Baator instead.  That power was all Queen Aura would need to storm the Pearly Gates and bring low the very foundations of Heaven.  Jehovah would be overthrown and cast down.  The Avandorian Church would collapse.  The very shield around the land of Avandor itself would fall

But surely that wasn’t Queen Aura’s ultimate goal.  Why make devils into heroes of the common man?  What was She really up to?
