Midnight Blue

She plucks a single cherry from the platter with an elegant stab of her finger, the shiny orb impaled on an impossibly sharp composite talon.  

She studies the orb, and then your eyes, a delicious grin manifesting on her pale features. 

A casual touch of a button on her data pad and the transfer is signed, this job and cargo no longer your problem. The light of the pad dances on her skin as she continues to watch you. Shadows move in rhythm as the clubbers sway and chatter in the dark between the thump of music. A oddly profound sense of fear washes over you, mixed with awe as you stare quietly back at the mysterious stranger before you. 

"What's you name" you dryly break first,  barking over the bass. Taking a savage gulp of the blood red cocktail in the aftermath, time seems to stretch out endlessly from an instantaneous stimulant hit. 

A moment passes, her amber eyes bore into your soul as she mutters a single word, it hangs in the air heavy like a chilled morning mist.

"Blue".
