Octopark

Feb 16, 2020

Sue-Anne and her friend Bridget were so excited about organizing this years horror fest. They were happily tossing ideas back and forth to each other as they were leaving the college campus.

“Oh my God I just thought of this great idea for the poster. We’ll go to Octopark and take a picture of you pretending to be grabbed by that giant octopus.” Said Bridget.

“Which one?” Asked Sue-Anne.

“The one coming out of the lake.”

“Oh yeah! Didn’t they just install that one? It looks so real.”

“Yeah it does look real.” Bridget agreed.

“Ok let’s do it!”

“Oh and you know what! Wear that school girl uniform.”

“Oh my god. Yes! That will look perfect!”

“It will look so amazing!”

The two girls started giggling as they headed for Sue-Anne’s house.

Later that day it started getting a bit windy and Bridget thought it would add a nice effect to have Sue-Anne’s hair blowing in the shot.

“Ok we’re here!” Said Bridget.

“Everyone’s looking at me!”

“Yeah? Wait until you get up there and start screaming your lungs out.”

“I don’t really have to scream do I? I mean pictures don’t have sound.”

“Yeah, but it won’t look real if you’re just there with your mouth opened.”

“Fine!”

Sue-Anne was starting to climb the giant tentacle beast when Bridget grabbed Sue-Anne's back pack and called out to her.

“Take this and leave it hanging on one of the tentacles near its mouth.”

“Oh ok.”

Sue-Anne grabbed her school back pack and hung it on one of the tentacles.

“Perfect! Now try to put yourself inside that tentacle knot. It’ll look like it’s grabbing you from the waist.” Said Bridget.

“It’s a little tight”

“That's because you’e been eating too many s’mores.”

“Bitch! Ok how’s this?”

Sue-Anne struck a pose although she didn’t look very frightened.

“Can you let go of it and raise your arms in the air?” Said Bridget.

“No I’m afraid I’ll fall.”

“Ok then at least make it look like you’re trying to escape it.”

“Like this?”

“Yeah I suppose.”

People passing by were looking at Sue-Anne and smiling. This was beginning to make her feel very uncomfortable.

“Are we done? Can I get off now?” Asked Sue-Anne.

“Just a few more and…. done! Ok you can get down now.”

“Good!”

Bridget looked at the shots taken from her phone, but didn’t look too pleased with them, meanwhile Sue-Anne was having some trouble getting down from the giant octopus.

“Umm I’m kinda stuck. Are you sure this thing is fake?” Said Sue-Anne who was beginning to feel a bit insecure.”

“Of course it’s fake, silly!”

“Is it supposed to vibrate?” Ask Sue-Anne.

“Vibrate?”

“Yes it’s… Oh my God! I’m feeling it squeeze.”

“You’re imagining it.”

“No I’m not! Bridget I’m fucking serious!”

Sue-Anne started panicking. She now actually looked like she was really being grabbed by the giant beast. The wind was blowing her hair to one side as she began screaming her lungs out. Bridget lifted her phone and froze the moment with the perfect snap shot.

Finally Sue-Anne freed herself and made a big splash as she fell into the lake.

“I fucking hate you!” Screamed Sue-Anne at Bridget.

Bridget just laughed as she helped Sue-Anne out of the lake.
