Secrets (Angel, Glasaya)

There is a very sad and wonderful story about the Elves condemned to Hell by Earth's crusades. The short version is summed up by the obscene insult to Elves of all kinds called, knife ears. Well, once condemned to Hell, the demons soon learned that elven blood and demon blood refused to mix, so they kept both dark elves and high elves in ghettos - next to each other - and the demons fomented racial violence between both sides for hundreds of years. Light and dark elf alike, the blood filled the streets.

Until there was two lovers, like these two, one from each side, dark loving light. The demons could not have that, so they crucified them. And thus the elves, from both sides, when they heard the insult knife ears thrown at them by the demons, silently nodded at each other instead of fighting. The demons grew worried as the deaths decreased. There was a silent alliance forming.

Demons and devils alike, the slave masters of both light and dark elf, started dying to silent and unknown assailants. And thus, the word knife ears became a name for elf - light or dark - that killed and hunted demons. Before the demons could kill all of the dark and light elves, the ghettos rebelled and fled into the lands of the Succubae Queen. The Wildlands of Hell where few demons dared go, but Elves found a home there. The Queen pays lip service to the other Demon Lords by saying hunting the rebel elves - united now, light and dark - is next to impossible. We all know that the succubae and the united elves are allies, one in the same, and fine elven weapons find their way into the Queen's royal guards.

It is only a matter of time before things change. Ariella and the Faeborn Elves are now in touch with those lost tribes. They are uniting.
