The Bloodbath strip is returning soon to wrap up. It is on a bit of a hiatus as I finish up other series and line up the stories for a great Fall slate of releases. Taylor here drops in from his great work in that series and his first dramatic role, which he knocked out of the park. Him and the Island are in every bit of my work, and have been a part of the story ever since I started doing art like this.

And he knows about power. Watching people he thought were his friends, those given lots of new power, change on him and ultimately turn on him in favor of corrupt international criminal conspiracies. Just because the lure of money and political power turned them to the side of darkness. Time and time again you see it, people you liked and idolized - and the system gets to them - and they are not who they were anymore.

I take his warning to heart, and his friendship means a lot to me. Don't turn to darkness. Don't change who you are. A great company once removed the words "don't be evil" from its culture.

That is telling.

And ultimately scary.
