It's been a while (EroDevlog.. 0.5?)

Apr 07, 2022

Hi there!

It's been... some months...

The reason I've been silent about my projects is because I've been going back and forth between different ideas. Should I make a comic or a game, which engine if I make a game, which story should I make, what things can I include so it doesn't get banned from X and Y place, and so on. Made extra difficult thanks to life stuff.

I have started on several ideas and ultimately dropped them for various reasons and that's why I chose to be silent during that time. I already have like 3 comics I left unfinished so I didn't want to add more to the pile.

In the end I chose to make it a game. Games have always been the original reason why I got into all this.

I have this "universe" of interconnected stories and characters going from high fantasy stories, through modern times to sci-fi settings. It's called "Infernal Interlopers".

One of the issues I had was deciding where to start in that universe. I spent quite a bit of time on one idea starting pretty much from the middle, in modern times. But I realized it was a decision mostly made thinking about "what fetishes will be accepted here and there?", that apparently modern times stories are more popular and that it was a good fit for a VN, which also seems to be a popular genre. And it was kinda bumming me out as I made it.

In the end I decided to start from the beginning.

Title screen of the game I'm currently making and If you have been following my works for some time you might recognize her. It was one of the comics I started and had to drop because I lost the character during a PC update and moving libraries. It was supposed to be some sort of "Choose your own adventure" comic where every chapter I made a poll so people decided what the heroine would do and then you'd see the consequences. So perfect for a simple first game.

The "game part" of the game, which is not much beyond making choices and some point and click if we are being honest, is pretty much finished. So in that regard I'm quite confident this is it and hence why I'm starting to show it. Now I just need to make most of the art and write the text for the scenes, which I will sharing some of the WIPs and stuff from now on, maybe some polls.

This time I'm also just doing what I want to do and we'll see after it's done where I can sell it. I know it's probably not the smartest course of action but it's definitely the one I'm happier working on it. Besides, I know that at the very least it should be okay for Steam, so I'm not too worried about it.

This is kind of a intro for a devlog series of posts I plan to make here, since as you can see I like to extend myself writing and twitter is not a fan of that. Currently I'm thinking weekly but might change depending on feedback.

So yeah... see you next week :)

PD. About commissions.

I don't want to close them, close them, but I certainly don't have too much free time working on game stuff. So I'd say it'll be probably something I'd do if I find the commission interesting enough and as long as people are aware making them will take me a while between game stuff. So yeah, I'll still leave pinned the commission sheet on my twitter.
