Lilith smirks as she glances around the sky, the echoes of gunfire still popping off from various points in the valley. “Sounds like you are pretty well much a target anyways no matter what you do. Midnight, darling, you honestly think the people paying you are not going to double cross you and take you out as well after all this is over? Spoiler alert, no loose ends.”

Midnight blinks. “Why do you sleep with the enemy?”

Lilith shrugs. “It is fun. A bit of a thrill. Even if the evil mastermind turns on you the jilted lover revenge kick is a thrill ride. I just love it when some evil mastermind tells me, I decided I am over you, and secretly I have his base on self-destruct.”

“You little backstabber,” Midnight laughs. “So, you are going to screw me?”

Lilith smiles. “Oh, I thought we could go easy at first, but if you just want to start there you will find me very accommodating.”
