2023 remake of 2014 profile picture

A quick project of only a few hours.

This is a remake of my profile picture from August 2014 over athttps://www.flickr.com/photos/tgtamara/14807487850 on my Flickr.

That old shot has been one of my classic favorites and it's fun to remake a shot to see how it turns out with the improvements that have been done to Second Life, my avatar and my slowly increasing skill as a virtual photographer.

It's also pretty neat to see how well my look still matches. Through upgrades of my avatar I have always tried to make sure that I retain the features of the face, and considering that the old shot is from before I was using any custom mesh head the likeness is still pretty spot on, simply improved.

- Pose recreated using AnyPose, because I couldn't easily find the premade pose that I had used in 2014

- Shot in Black Dragon viewer, using custom lighting, sky preset and graphics tweaking
- Left unedited for authenticity of recreation. There is a bit of clipping between the braid and jacket that I could have composited away using 2 shots, which also would have allowed me add a single streak of the hairstyle's bangs for a better match that I had hidden, but like this it is accurate to how well the look actually matches inworld.
Unfortunately there are some ugly edges on the old top because I have to use alpha masking on the texture instead of alpha blending, as to not conflict with my alpha blended nips. I would have solved that via compositing 2 shots as well usually.
