Carellon's Beauty

Jul 03, 2019

For those off-worlders and planar travelers that end up on Arrallon, there is a certain initial shock when visiting some of the kingdoms of Callona.  Carellon may rival Atheae in the regard of public nudity, open and alternate sexual relationships, and lack of anything resembling prudishness.  On the other hand, as the ages have passed, with the constant influence of Erotic magic in both private practice and through the clergy of various love Gods, the people have taken on a beauty and sensuality that is unknown anywhere in the Galaxy.

It is often said that if there is a new idea, a new science or math, a new invention, it will probably come from Atheae.  That's not always true, but it is a statistical tendency.  However, if some one is going to make practical use of that idea; mass produce it, teach it to the masses, or find a way to make a talen off it, that will happen in Carellon.  That's not a statistical preference, it’s a simple fact.  Carellon, with its constitutional monarchy, its representative democracy, and its millennia long dedication to free market capitalism has one of the highest qualities of life on the planet.  Indeed, with the recent invention of paratech marvels, air and space travel, and crystal vid entertainment, it easily puts assorted off world high tech societies to shame.  So, with all this wealth, all this time to do something besides eek out a living, what do the people do?  They get personal augmentations through Erotic magic, even change their sex temporarily (or permanently) to entertain their wildest fantasies.

As Aphrodite was once quoted as saying, "If everyone if beautiful and everyone can get laid any time they want,… what is there to fight about?"

Of course, that was before She became the Goddess of War following Ares' downfall.
