It's the year 3023, and the humans are on the verge of joining the intergalactic union of planets, but before doing so, they must prove their genetic compatibility to breed with other planetary species. 

As a first step, a skeleton crew, consisting of Ensigns Sloane and Aiko and Admiral Aaron, are sent to planet Goh to liaise with Ambassador Hathai. We join the crew where the USS Taziota has entered a stable orbit around Goh, and the Ambassador's ship approaches to dock.

The Ambassador agrees to a series of tests, but for the humans to truly prove their genetic compatibility, she requires a series of more precise field tests.
