Dark elves are found on the surface more often than one might think, as,
contrarily to popular belief, they don't fear sunlight.
Isilmë is a scout, Motivated by curiosity and a sense of adventure, she carries messages and reconnoiters the surface world for her Lord and Master. Lightly armed, she could still prove dangerous as she knows how to use her blade.
It's unsurprising that such a role would be entrusted to a female. The overwhelming majority of dark elves are born females, and they carry out most of the duties, including warfare. The rare males, much taller and stronger, rarely leave their subterranean palaces, where, surrounded and served by their harem, they spend most of their time plotting against each other.
