Piqa

Piqa pictured here, is a member of a deep subterranean cave dwelling race we never knew about until we accidentally destroyed one of their homes while tunneling. They are frighteningly intelligent and have picked up on our language remarkably fast, allowing us to easily communicate with them and apologize for destroying their homes. Despite being so far underground, their eyesight is unparalleled and are not overly bothered by bright light due to some surface cave access and luminescent crystals in some of their caves. We to this day still have no idea how they evaded detection so easily.

They do seem to be the only human race with males as part of their society left, though they are exceedingly timid while the women have the most insane sex drive ever seen. Yes, even more than rabbits.
