That Wysp May Cause Trouble...

Oct 01, 2021

She didn't know what it was that she had done, not entirely. When the concoction exploded, leaving no trace of it anywhere, she was blasted back a bit. As she hit the floor, she found herself with a massive headache brewing. Her head had collided with the epoxied wooden floor with FAR more force than she could have ever expected.

The green glow took a few seconds before she actually managed to process it, to realise it. There was something more to the room. She shook her head, trying to clear it. Moments before something flitted quickly around her. All around her. It was naught but a sparkle, at least that's all her brain could properly pick up on.

And then she finally properly saw it. An orb of some soft almost smoke like mana. She could see it starting to shift colours, and realised she probably should look away, and get to her feet. However, she found she couldn't.

She couldn't look away. It had her attention, and it was far too strong a hold than she had expected. Kiah was caught, entirely, within the grasp of what she'd managed to create.

The form shifted, as Kiah continued to watch it, she heard it. She didn't know what she heard, but it was there, and she could feel it digging deep, extremely deep, into her head. The words, the sounds, whatever they were, were like honey to her ears.

Kiah relaxed as it floated just ahead of her. She couldn't take her eyes off of it, trusting it, believing it wouldn't hurt her.

The wysp she'd created was a barely known alchemical reaction. Nor was it's natural instinct to entrance it's creators, and anyone else in the room, so that it could survive as it left. Not... not that Kiah knew that.

She didn't even know that there was someone approaching, that there were footsteps nearby. Hell, she barely realised she was on the floor still, and she certainly didn't hear when the new person called her name.

"Kiah!"
