Tropical Elf Redux - Series I

The is a re-imagining of an image-set I had rendered 5 years ago. Back then I had no idea what I was really doing on a technical level. Regardless, the second image in that set is my all-time most viewed Elerin render. It had excellent backlighting, a clean crisp look, and beautiful greens and blues. And every render in that set looked like total ass in comparison. I had no idea how I created that combination of light and color, and was unable to replicate it in the succeeding renders.
