Trouble in the Neutral Zone (25)

Captain T'Futa invites crewman Batey to participate in questioning Dr Sadik, now in custody aboard the Succor. The captive Tal Shiar officer knows much that could be of value to the Federation... if only she can be convinced to disclose that knowledge.

Batey, still traumatized after being tortured by the merciless secret policewoman, is paralyzed with fear. Even naked, bound, and helpless, the infamous Chief Interrogator is an intimidating presence.

"I've forgotten more about pain than you'll ever know, Dr T'Futa," the Romulan officer boasts defiantly. "There is no suffering you can possibly inflict that will make me talk."

"My dear Dr Sadik, who said anything about pain and suffering?" Captain T'Futa replies with formal politeness. "My intention is to introduce you to new worlds of pleasure, far beyond anything you have ever imagined. After that, I believe our conversations will be quite productive."
