How (not) to treat your mermaid

When training a mermaid, no matter who she was prior to her transformation (a stranger, a work colleague, a friend, a family member, etc.) its important to be firm and strict.
Make her understand just how helpless and dependent she is (on you).
This is important while she's not had time to get used to her new form, nor would she be able to survive on her own in the open ocean anyways, no matter how much she might have enjoyed raw seafood.
Some resistance may be expected, but futile.
Treat her accordingly, and in no time she'll accept her status and be yours to do and use as one wishes with a mermaid.
