The main three mermaid operatives of SEAL Team 9: Eldoris, Athena, and Drake


This was initially an ink sketch I did based on one of the MerMay 2021 prompts "Original". I then touched it up further to enter a fictional movie poster challenge on short notice, inspired by J Scott Campbell's Danger Girl and maybe a bit of Charlie's Angels in there as well.


The idea for ST9 initially started back in 2019 to combine two of my 

go-to subjects, mermaids and military, and the result was SEAL Team 9.


Since then I've been trying to figurer out what direction to take the story, whether to focus on the relationship and dynamic each mermaid has with her human handler/partner, or go into an action-packed story, or delve into their mysterious creation/origin?
