Locker Room Ruckus

The soccer team was in good spirits after they won first place in the state regionals. A reporter /photographer was clamoring for an interview, when a mischievous co-ed who washed out as a team player and was relegated to equipment manager spoke up:

“They are eager to talk with you, go right in.” she said gesturing to the locker room door.

The reporter/photographer walked in with his camera ready, only to find the winners in the shower buck naked. He could not believe his luck. Putting his finger over the red light showing the camera was on, he captured a few frames while holding the camera at waist level, pretending to be surprised and abashed.

I’m so sorry ladies, they told me you were eager for an interview after your win.”

“Looks like you got quite the scoop.  Hey girls, the Press is here.” 

The captain of the team, Becky seemed to take a defiant stance, trying to shame the photographer, not trying to cover herself, but instead giving him a full view. Some of the other girls followed her lede, but some others were shocked and covered themselves.

He sensed what was happening and feigned being ashamed.

“Why don’t you take a picture for the college paper?” she said, trying to embarrass him. 

He continued to grab as many shots clandestinely as he could, and then excused himself and apologized, asking when he could get an interview.

“Um, maybe when we have some clothes on?” 

“How about in 15 minutes or so?”

“Fine, now get out.”

“See you then.”

“Looks like you’ve seen more than enough.”

He retreated to the spectator area, and quickly reviewed his camera’s takes. These would have to remain private, if he wanted to the incident to fade from memory. Theirs, not his. He would always remember this moment, and had the images to prove it.
