The Cantina on Kaldair Station is known throughout the neutral zone for exotic entertainments and refreshments, many of them contraband in both the Federation and the Romulan Empire. Dr Melanie and Master Chief Batey are enjoying a taste of Kaldairian absinthe, but the two Romulan officers at the bar seem to have surpassed their tolerance for the opiate-laced liqueur. So far, their provocation hasn't gone beyond taunts and jibes. Dr Melanie urges Batey to ignore them.
